With the globalization of potential markets and the continued expansion of the Internet and e-commerce marketplace, more and more businesses recognize that their corporate and product names, logos and slogans are essential for communicating product and/or service value, establishing a solid reputation and building corporate brand loyalty in each of their business industries, industry markets, and geographic locations.

At NexTrend Legal, we understand that saving time and money is crucial to every entrepreneur or business owner. Our US trademark attorneys are committed to providing responsive, professional federal trademark legal services so that each of our clients can focus primarily on their products and services and allocate more of their budget to marketing, advertising and operating their business.

Our trademark law firm offers a full suite of trademark legal services to clients that reside or do business in the United States, its territories and in other countries around the world. From performing comprehensive trademark searches to determine whether your trademark is available for use in certain markets, to ensuring your trademark rights are enforced and not infringed upon once a trademark registration is acquired, our trademark attorneys can assist!

We provide flat fees (or fixed fees) for most of our core trademark legal services, including comprehensive trademark search and clearances, trademark registrations, trademark monitoring, trademark renewals, and responding to Office Actions issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). By setting expectations with transparent flat fees, our clients are able to avoid the financial uncertainties generally associated with hourly billing. In other words, we will let you know the costs to address your matter in advance rather than surprise you with a big attorney bill at the end of your matter.

Trademark Attorneys Must be Licensed to Practice Law in the US

USPTO regulations specify that only an attorney who is an active member in good standing of the bar of the highest court of any U.S. state or territory can represent you in a trademark application, registration, or TTAB proceeding at the USPTO. Non-U.S.-licensed attorneys and non-attorneys do not meet this criteria and cannot represent you in a trademark matter at the USPTO.

Non-U.S.-licensed attorneys and non-attorneys may give you inaccurate information and legal advice about your trademark rights and the registration process in the United States. This could:

  • Jeopardize the legal validity of your trademark application or trademark registration.
  • Prolong the time it takes for your trademark application or registration related submissions to be examined.
  • Cause your trademark application to be rejected or abandoned or your trademark registration to be cancelled.
